JOB SUMMARY:
The Salt Lake City Stars, the official NBA G League affiliate of the Utah Jazz, are seeking a Content Associate who will gain firsthand experience in the professional sports media and marketing industry. The position will work closely with various departments within the Stars organization to assist with the overall content production, media, and marketing efforts of the team, with a strong emphasis in photo/video. Additionally, the role will assist the Utah Jazz content and PR teams with select projects and opportunities.
Position starts October 5, 2026 and runs through April 15, 2027
Compensation: $17/hour
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist Stars PR/Marketing/Social staff in all aspects of the team's marketing and social media efforts through content capture, ideation, and production.
  • Collaborate and edit an episode of "All Access" covering the Stars season
  • Conceptualize and design engaging content for Instagram, Tiktok, YouTube, and other platforms.
  • Work game nights, helping turn footage quickly for media distribution, social, and broadcast.
  • Record player and coach media availabilities at gameday shootarounds and postgame, ensuring proper lighting and audio quality.
  • Utilize your knowledge of Sony cameras to enhance the visual quality of content.
  • Work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • See projects from pre to post production.
  • Organize and log video footage after events on the shared Utah Jazz server.
  • Assist on Utah Jazz content projects.
  • Assist on select Utah Jazz media availabilities and photoshoots.
  • Protect the reputation of the company
  • Exemplify the Utah Jazz mission and values: transparent, all in, community obsessed, one team, and scrappy
  • Accept other duties, as assigned

COMPETENCIES:

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Proficiency in Premiere Pro and experience with video editing
  • Familiarity with Sony cameras and their settings
  • Passion for sports
  • Positive attitude, flexibility, and problem solving abilities

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally.
  • This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate and assess.
  • This person must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for long periods of time.
  • This person must be able to lift 30 lbs.
