Job description

Woodward is the global leader in action sports experiences. With a level of passion for the action sports lifestyle that is unmatched, we are dedicated to cultivating an environment where everyone can dream big and find their own path of progression. Our goal is to empower all people to find inspiration in learning new things and gaining diverse perspectives.
The Graphic Designer is a new in-house creative execution role within Woodward Global Marketing & Sales, responsible for supporting brand campaign production, production design, short-form video editing, and cross-business-unit asset development. Creative direction will be led by Woodward's creative agency in partnership with the VP of Marketing & Sales. This role is rooted in translating that direction into high-quality, on-brand deliverables. The Graphic Designer will be the primary in-house design resource for a 50+ year legacy brand, acting as a central execution function to support multiple businesses on a variety of creative mediums while developing fluency in Woodward's products, locations, brand ethos, and guest experience.
This role supports Woodward PA, Woodward Park City, Woodward Tahoe, and Woodward Mountain Experiences with brand-wide creative execution, scalable templates, asset versioning, and finished production across digital, print, social, CRM, paid media, on-site touchpoints, and platform-specific video content.
The ideal candidate is also well-versed in basic video editing - taking captured footage and shot content from Woodward teams and turning it into sharp, social-ready cutdowns optimized for major platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, and paid social placements.
Based in Park City, Utah, this role includes:
  • $65K annual starting salary.
  • Annual incentive bonus program.
  • Paid time off.
  • Matching 401K.
  • Health, Dental, and Vision plans.
  • Hybrid work environment options.
  • Tons of cool perks including ski passes and more.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce and deliver creative assets for paid media, owned channels, campaigns, CRM, web, print, social, video, motion, and on-site signage needs.
  • Edit captured footage, shot content, and campaign video into short-form cutdowns, reels, teasers, stories, paid social units, and platform-native social assets tailored to audience behavior and channel best practices.
  • Version and optimize creative for major social platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, and other emerging channels, with attention to vertical-first formats, hooks, pacing, captions, thumbnails, safe zones, and sound-off viewing.
  • Establish efficient social-first video workflows that turn captured footage and shot content into platform-ready cutdowns for organic social, paid social, campaign launches, event recaps, and evergreen brand storytelling.
  • Translate approved creative direction, briefs, and campaign concepts into finished, on-brand designs and video cutdowns for business unit teams.
  • Create scalable templates, design systems, and self-serve toolkits that help business unit teams manage day-to-day production needs with consistency, efficiency, and fewer bottlenecks.
  • Support creative execution across digital and physical touchpoints, ensuring approved campaign direction and Woodward brand standards show up cohesively across the full guest journey.
  • Maintain brand consistency across Woodward's platform by applying visual identity standards, campaign systems, motion treatments, and approved creative guidelines rather than setting overall creative direction.
  • Manage asset libraries, version control, template distribution, video exports, and organized handoff processes so brand playbooks, campaign systems, and templates are easy for cross-business-unit teams to access and adopt.
  • Partner closely with marketing, content, social, experiential, and business unit stakeholders to prioritize creative requests, streamline workflow, and deliver high-quality creative work on deadline.

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of graphic design experience, ideally in-house for a lifestyle, resort/hospitality, or entertainment brand.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating production design, brand system application, campaign asset execution, digital design, print production, experiential creative, motion graphics, and short-form social video edits.
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro, and After Effects. Experience with mobile-first editing tools and social-native production workflows is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of social-first creative best practices, including vertical video, short-form storytelling, platform-specific formatting, captions, pacing, hooks, thumbnails, and creative versioning for paid and organic channels.
  • Ability to translate direction from the VP Marketing & Sales, Woodward's creative agency, and non-design stakeholders into polished, on-brand creative work across static, motion, and video formats.
  • Strong project management instincts with the ability to balance concurrent requests across multiple business units and shared priorities.
  • Comfort building and improving intake, prioritization, and handoff processes in partnership with marketing stakeholders.
  • Excellent collaboration skills across marketing, content, social, experiential, and cross-functional business partners.
  • Fluency in Figma and experience building scalable templates, toolkits, and design systems is a plus.
  • Understanding of and passion for action sports and snow sports, willingness to study best practices and nuance around the capture, framing, and visual storytelling of Woodward sports.

You make us Woodward. We are a welcoming community that celebrates individual stories, backgrounds, experiences, and identities where we all have "different" in common. We believe in the strength of representing all voices and having space for everyone. We believe in pushing boundaries and bringing our authentic selves to work while embracing uniqueness, creativity, and different points of view. Even if you don't think you meet all the qualifications listed for a job, we'd love to hear from you.
