Job description

PURPOSE: To provideexceptional guest service to all guests at Crayola Experience and Mall of America. To maintain welcoming and inviting attractions via cleaning, open communication, and other duties as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide outstanding guest service consistent with Crayola and Mall of America missions and standards.
  • Engage with guests by determining guest needs and offering assistance accordingly.
  • Support the Crayola brand's educational mission to use the arts as a tool for intellectual and emotional development of children.
  • Facilitate art projects and activities with guests.
  • Prepare materials, maintain appropriate stock of necessary materials, monitors activities, and cleans and organizes work stations as assigned.
  • Monitor activity areas and adapt the facilitation of an area according to guest volume.
  • Assist in workshops, birthday parties, special events, and outreach activities as needed.
  • Assist guests with product, ticket, and general questions concerning Crayola Experience, Mall of America and the local region.
  • Understand the tickets and products carried, their features, options, and benefits, as well as the branding of Crayola Experience and Mall of America.
  • Explain and enforce ticket policies for Crayola Experience and other attractions.
  • Operate special attractions as trained to ensure safety and a positive guest experience.
  • Utilize and maintain loss prevention procedures for both product and currency.
  • Cross train to other MOA and Crayola departments, and willing to regularly be assigned to assist.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and high-volume days.
  • Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Outstanding guest service skills.
  • Strong listening and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work independently or on a team.
  • Prior experience in a museum, educational setting, guest service center or family attraction preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of computers preferred.

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the team member will frequently be required to speak and listen to guests in order to understand their needs and communicate a solution. Team member must also possess a level of hearing that will continuously allow them to be aware of their surroundings and recognize when a guest needs their attention. Specific vision abilities required by this job include frequent close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Team members are required to be able to tolerate multiple sensory stimuli at once while performing their duties. These stimuli may include: loud auditory/noise, smells/olfactory, hot/cold temperatures, bright lights, colors, motion, and other visual stimuli.
