Job description

PURPOSE:To provideexceptional guest service to all guests at Mall of America. To maintain welcoming and inviting attractions through cleaning, open communication, and prioritizing safety.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide exceptional guest service by greeting and conversing with guests and determining their needs.
  • Operate the MATRIX ride, remaining in ride area when guests are present. Properly enforce all height and rider safety requirements.
  • Understand specific product area knowledge including features, similar products and benefits.
  • Clean, stock, organize, and maintain specific product displays as directed.
  • Ring and count out funds accurately and timely following established cash handling procedures.
  • Understand and explain various tickets to guests and assist them in purchasing tickets they need.
  • Maintain safety and cleanliness of work locations and report any unsafe conditions to leadership in a timely manner.
  • Regularly work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Remain calm and professional while assisting upset guests.
  • Cross train with other departments and regularly be assigned to assist as needed.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, holidays, and high-volume days.
  • Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Previous guest facing retail experience preferred.
  • Previous cash handling experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Understanding of USD currency.
  • Outstanding guest service skills.
    • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Multi-tasking skills.

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the team member will frequently be required to speak and listen to guests in order to understand their needs and communicate a solution. Team member must also possess a level of hearing that will continuously allow them to be aware of their surroundings and recognize when a guest needs their attention. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to see in low light, and ability to adjust focus. Team members are required to be able to tolerate multiple sensory stimuli at once while performing their duties. These stimuli may include: loud auditory/noise, smells/olfactory, bright lights, colors, motion, and other visual stimuli.
