JOB SUMMARY:

Oversees and leads the daily operation at assigned attractions, shows or water or dry play areas at Universal Kids Resort. Assists Attractions Supervisors in being a resource and acts as the first point of contact for Team Members. Monitors the operation to ensure Guest and Team Member safety, positive guest interactions, and capacity goals. Trains new Team Members on all venue duties and performs Attendant duties as necessary.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs safety critical duties throughout the daily operation. Routinely inspects the work environment, including but not limited to, operational readiness for equipment, loading gates, ride restraints, vehicle or rides and ensuring compliance of standard operating procedures. Responsible for operational/ride complexities of the venues, including but not limited to equipment inventory. Understands and actively participates in daily Attractions Attendant duties when needed.
  • Responsible for the consistent execution of world class Guest service, operational standards and motivating Team Members across Universal Kids Resort. Conducts daily shift meetings, engages in safety spot talks, and documents Team Member performance. Aids in the dissemination of general company and venue or area specific forms of communication. Effectively applies the Universal Destinations and Experiences (UDX) service model to satisfy and resolve the needs of the Guests and Team Members. Ensures kid-focused Guest service standards are met and all IBCCES standards are utilized throughout the Resort. Monitors and reports deficiencies in show and facility quality.
  • Acts as the first point of contact for Team Members. Leads on-the-job training, working closely with Management to ensure that Team Members have successfully completed their training plan, and acts as the Trainer for all new hires. Monitors trainees throughout their on-boarding and training to ensure operational proficiency. Meets with Team Members to review their training progress, addresses concerns, documents training related issues, and ensuring Team Member readiness for the job responsibilities.
  • Performs administrative duties related to the daily opening and closing of venues. Ensures daily staffing levels and rotation schedules are adjusted according to park attendance. Maintains daily reports, overtime reports, and safety checklists. Maintains operating supplies, review timekeeping to ensure that time is properly entered based on job code and functional area. Performs Attendant job duties, as described, as necessary to ensure labor coverage and proper breaks are being taken.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Must be able to work a flexible and varying schedule based on business needs.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities (KSAs) required.

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and operate ride vehicles and moving machinery.
  • Regularly required to ride the attraction/ride to ensure show quality and that special effects are in the proper working order including lighting, sound, animatronics and general maintenance.
  • Responsible for evacuating the attraction/ride and assisting Guests through various evacuation methods.
  • Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Consistent attendance is a job requirement.

EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 6+ months of leadership experience is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
