The YMCA of Greater Erie is looking to hire a part-time Teen Center Mentor for our youth, adult and family programs at the Downtown YMCA of Greater Erie located in Erie, PA. Are you creative, energetic, and fun-loving? Do you love our youth and watching them learn and grow? If so, please read on!This position pays up to $10.98 - $13.73 /hour based on experience. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A TEEN CENTER MENTORAs a Teen Center Mentor at our Downtown YMCA location, you are responsible lead participants through programing at your assigned location. You will deliver a variety of specific YMCA programs to the membership and community, ensuring a positive and enriching experience for all participants involved. You ensure that members and/or program participants connect with one another and connect with the YMCA. You are careful to act in a safe manner at all times. You are friendly and patient as you lead new participants with motivation. With enthusiasm, you help deliver programs and services that meet community needs by following the directives of the Program Director. You are also conscientious about keeping records up to date and accurate and ensuring compliance with YMCA standards and government regulations. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A TEEN CENTER MENTORAt least 18 years of ageStrong human relation skills.Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.Commitment to inclusion and compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).Love for our youthAre you a people person who especially enjoys interacting with people? If so, you might just be perfect for this Teen Center Assistant position!PART-TIME WORK SCHEDULEThis typical schedule for this part-time position is about 12 - 25 hours per week.
