Job description


 
The Highlights:
The purpose of this position is to support several school-based projects for the Culture and Evidence-Based Practice lab which is led by Dr. Antonio Polo from the Psychology Department. The goal is to support partnerships with Chicago Public School (CPS) District, the CPS Office for Social and Emotional Learning, and the CPS Office for Students with Disabilities. Staff research assistants will help support the Act and Adapt program dissemination in elementary and public schools and serve as liaisons to our school partners, which include school social workers, school counselors, and school psychologists.  
 

What You'll Do:

1. Collect data by conducting student referral assessments, participant interviews, parent interviews, and provider surveys. 
2. Send email reminders to school partners delivering group program, organize and plan program trainings for providers. 
3. Help put together presentations for PLCs and email memos to CPS staff cohorts and assist in the creation of reports and evaluation of the program. 
4. Part time staff research assistants will be responsible for analyzing group member data across cohorts, help track recruitment, group member engagement, provider fidelity, and group member fidelity. 
5. Clean and update Qualtrics surveys, maintain files and databases in Google drive and server, code data to obtain parent and youth demographics for participants. 
 

What You'll Need:
Minimum - BA/BS in psychology or related field and at least 6 months of experience conducting school-based or mental health research.
Preferred - Spanish speaking.
 
This a grant-funded position and is subject to the receipt and retention of external grant funding. 
 
The anticipated hiring range for this position is: $16.69 to $23.50/hr. 
The salary range provided in this posting reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual compensation offered or earned is dependent on experience, education and other factors including departmental budget.
