Position Description

Job Title: Student Assistant (Teaching/Research)

Department: Counseling

Reports To: Dr. Tameeka Hunter

Location: Remote via Zoom

Date: September 11, 2025 to August 21, 2026

Employment Status: Part Time; approximately 10 hours per week

Overview

Student Assistant for multiple courses, research projects, and tasks Standard Research Assistant Duties & Responsibilities:

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with quantitative and/or qualitative research projects
  • Conduct literature review/annotated bibliography/reference list development
  • Assist with survey creation
  • Collect and analyze data
  • Maintain accurate records safeguarding the confidentiality of subjects, as necessary
  • Attend project meetings
  • Complete clerical updates to Canvas
  • Assist with course tasks

Required Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Be a current PAU student; doctoral student from any discipline strongly preferred
  • Ability to meet deadlines (occasionally quick ones)
  • Proficient with APA formatting
  • Be detail-oriented and responsive; have excellent written communication skills,
  • Proficient with Qualtrics
  • Comfort with Excel
