SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Food & Beverage Manager, the Food & Beverage Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operations of the restaurant and bar. This role supervises staff, training, workplace culture, guest flow, business initiatives, and internal/external relationships.

The Supervisor delivers exceptional guest service through strong leadership, effective communication, and consistent follow-up with both guests and employees. This position fosters a results-driven culture that emphasizes efficiency, accountability, and timely decision-making.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Essential functions as defined are ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY and not a comprehensive listing of all functions and duties performed by incumbents within this classification.  Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Supervise restaurant and bar operations, including guest service, service standards, cash handling, and staffing in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Oversee front of house staff during shifts, ensuring adherence to company standards and management directives.
  • Ensure compliance with all corporate operating guidelines as well as applicable local, state, and federal laws, including food safety, sanitation, alcohol service, and ADA regulations.
  • Maintain strict sanitation standards across all areas, including employee hygiene, kitchen and service areas, storage spaces, dining areas, bar, patios, and restrooms.
  • Maintain high-cost control standards for food and beverage quality, presentation, service, and guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of shift operational reports.
  • Manage and support POS system operations as needed.
  • Conduct daily pre-shift (pre-service) meetings to communicate expectations, updates, and goals.
  • Assist with training and develop new and existing employees to ensure consistency and growth.
  • Oversee execution of amenities and special service details during shift.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all front-of-house storage areas.
  • Supervise end-of-shift checkout procedures to ensure accuracy, accountability, and completion of side work. 
  • Coordinate in-residence guest requests and special arrangements during shift. 
  • Maintain flexibility to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge and/or skill required. 

  • Obtain Blue Card and Food Handler certification within sixty days of employment. 

Education and Experience: 

  • High school education/equivalent required. Bachelors’ Degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 1 years of related experience including supervisory and/or management experience. Previous experience in the hospitality, travel and/or golf industry preferred.

Required Knowledge and Skills 

Knowledge of:                               

  • Applicable laws, codes and regulations
  • Policies and procedures of the department 

Skill in:

  • Strong grasp of current Microsoft technologies and platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience and capability in the areas of staff management.
  • Demonstrated quality written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision; work flexible hours as required including nights/weekends/holidays.
  • Outstanding organizational and analytical skills.
  • Positive attitude, professional manner and appearance in all situations.
