Job description

Administrative Nursing Supervisor We are looking for a dynamic nursing leader to join our team!

MAIN FUNCTION: The Administrative Nursing Supervisor serves as a resource person in a clinical and administrative capacity. This position works under supervision of the Lead Administrative Supervisor and reports directly to the CNO. This individual oversees the Hospital operations on a day-to-day basis on the Evening, Night, Weekend or Holiday shifts.

  • There is direct oversight of patient placement, throughput, and allocation of resources.
  • This individual establishes and maintains effective working relationships with all departments throughout the organization.
  • Has a positive and professional collaborative demeanor and communication style. Readily shares information and resources in support of patient throughput and staff efficiencies.
  • Contributes work and effort to group performance to meet objectives.
  • Assists all members of the caregiver team in resolving issues with peers as appropriate and notifies managers/directors as needed.
  • Makes prompt and sound decisions based on multiple sources of information, weighs alternatives and their potential outcomes and impact on patient care.
  • Organizes information efficiently. Keeps customers/patients/colleagues informed about progress, delays and changes.
  • Seeks guidance where and when appropriate to the job and consults appropriate staff.
  • Respects patient confidentiality at all times. Demonstrates active listening and presents information in a clear and concise manner. Efficiently and effectively plans, communicates, and implements delivery of department work within scope of responsibility.
  • Ensures compliance with standards and regulatory requirements. Demonstrates accuracy, attention to detail, thoroughness, and effectiveness. Follows established procedures and protocols and complies with and enforces rules and regulations pertinent to the job.
  • Demonstrates appropriate level of technical and procedural knowledge. Participates in educational activities to improve the patient experience including safety, quality, performance and other initiatives.
  • Serves as a resource for others. Is committed to finding solutions to problems rather than complaining about them to others.
  • Motivates others to perform at high levels in support of our Planetree Mission of Person-Centered Care.

EDUCATION: RN, BSN, Masters preferred.

EXPERIENCE: Three years of progressive management responsibilities in an acute care setting preferred
