Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Tribal Gaming License
  • English required, bilingual preferred.
  • Must be able to lift, bend, and stand for long periods of time.
  • Flexibility with work schedule required.
  • Effective communication skills required.
  • Customer service skills preferred.
  • Prior Guest Room Attendant experience preferred
  • Be able to work indoors and be exposed to various environmental contaminants including smoke
  • Ability to lift or carry a minimum of 20 pounds unassisted in the performance of specific tasks assigned
  • Must be able to work with others, communicate well, receive direction, and provide feedback when needed to achieve department goals and objectives
  • Must maintain a positive attitude toward work and interface with guests in a congenial and polite manner
  • Members are expected to conduct and carry themselves in a professional manner at all times and to observe the Company’s standards, work requirements and rules of conduct.

Responsibilities

The Guest Room Attendant will be performing routine duties in the cleaning and servicing of any area which may be assigned, and supplies area with items which area required for the convenience and comfort of the guest. The Guest Room Attendant ensures that all guests feel welcomed and comfortable throughout the length of their stay.

  • Adhere to the Miccosukee Service Expectations and ensure team compliance
  • Responsible for the overall cleanliness of assigned rooms and reports maintenance deficiencies in order to maintain rooms in compliance with resort standards.
  • Makes beds neatly with fresh sheets and pillow cases and removes trash in waste baskets, cleans mirrors and shelves, wipes door frames and furniture with a damp cloth, dusts light fixtures, lamp shades, light bulbs, baseboards and arranges furniture according to the correct established floor plan arrangement.
  • Cleans bathrooms, scrubs basins, bathtubs, toilets, floors, walls and door with a damp rag and all-purpose cleaner (not abrasive).
  • Replenishes supplies in each room on a daily basis or as requested by guest.
  • Reports all structural problems with the Engineering Department immediately.
  • Returns all items left in the guest room to Housekeeping Supervisor for proper return.
  • Reports to the supervisor all rooms vacated and cleaned, rooms occupied and cleaned, and any unusual conditions of furniture or rooms needing repair daily.
  • Operates vacuum cleaner to clean the carpet areas of the room.
  • Any other duty as required commensurate with the position, department, and organization.
  • Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

The Casino & Resort will function seven days a week, 24 hours a day. We may find it necessary to re-schedule shifts according to our business volume. You must be willing and available to fulfill these demands

While performing the duties of this job, the team member will be regularly required to walk, stand and sit. The associate will occasionally be required to climb and use balance. Additionally, the team member will frequently be asked to use hands and arms carry and lift items. Specific vision abilities required to perform this job include close vision and distance vision.
While performing the duties of this job, the team member may experience temperature fluctuations and moderate to high levels of noise. This is a smoking environment.
