Nature of Work:
The Warehouse Assistant at Major League Fishing (MLF) is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the warehouse, including property maintenance. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills, a deep understanding of inventory management, and property maintenance skills to ensure efficient and effective warehouse operations.
Examples of Work Performed:
  • Assist in the receiving, storing and distributing of inventory.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular stock checks.
  • Prepare and process orders for shipment.
  • Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized and safe.
  • Routine upkeep and handyman tasks, including, but not limited to, minor structural repairs, painting, drywall patching and bulb/fixture replacements.
  • Grounds care, including, but not limited to, tree and shrub pruning, gutter cleaning and seasonal cleanups.
  • Systems Management, including, but not limited to, coordinating with service professionals on plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems to prevent breakdowns.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Assist operations team in the setup and breakdown of event materials and equipment.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum:
    • High School Diploma or GED.
    • 1-2 years of experience in warehouse or inventory management.
    • Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
    • Proficiency in handyman skills and use of related tools.
    • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management software.
  • Preferred:
    • Certification or additional training in warehouse management.
    • Certification or additional training in construction trades or related disciplines.
    • Ability to acquire or produce and maintain a valid driver’s license and meet company vehicle driving standards.
