Job description

This is a part-time flexible Hybrid/Remote position designed to accommodate students in good standing with their university. The ideal candidate will be a rising senior or a master's degree student pursuing a degree in Software Development, computer science, or any related field. Seniors pursuing bachelor's degree will be considered. A professor recommendation is required. This position requires a U.S. Security Clearance. Only U.S. citizens eligible for U.S. Security Clearance should apply.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

This position requires the performance of tasks related to research, development, deployment, and enhancement of enterprise-wide software solutions using techniques such as hands-on coding, debugging, contributing to software architecture and design, etc. on behalf of the government customer and Small Business Consulting Company (SBCC).

Essential functions

  • Collaborate on software development projects supporting operational systems and analytics platforms.
  • Write, test, and maintain code using modern programming languages and frameworks.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of databases and APIs.
  • Assist in troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing software applications.
  • Contribute to documentation, reporting, and presentations for stakeholders.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to solve technical challenges.
  • Learn and apply new technologies and development practices.
