Part-Time Weekend PCA

Location: Atlanta, GA
Employer: Destiny's Child Inc.

Destiny's Child Inc. is seeking caring and reliable Personal Care Asssistant to join our team for weekend shifts supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes. This is a part-time position, working every Saturday and Sunday.

Available Shifts:

  • 8:00am โ€“ 4:00pm
  • 4:00pm โ€“ 12:00am
  • 12:00am โ€“ 8:00am
    OR
  • 12:00pm โ€“ 12:00am
  • 12:00am โ€“ 12:00pm

About the Role:
As a DSP, you'll provide essential care and support to individuals in a home setting. You'll help with daily activities, encourage independence, and ensure the health and safety of those you serve. Your work will make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with personal care: bathing, skin care, grooming, toileting, and mobility
  • Support daily living: meal prep, dishwashing, housekeeping, and laundry
  • Escort clients to appointments and activities in the community
  • Monitor and remind clients about prescribed medications
  • Provide companionship and supervision
  • Take and record vital signs as needed
  • Help clients achieve their Individual Service Plan (ISP) goals
  • Report client progress and concerns to the appropriate team members

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of verifiable experience as a care provider
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Clean background check
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Physical exam and TB test (or chest X-ray)
  • Valid Georgia driver's license and 7-year motor vehicle report
  • CNA certification or ability to pass the PSA test
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to use a computer and complete documentation
  • Reliable, compassionate, and able to follow instructions
  • Experience with elderly, disabled, or convalescing individuals is preferred
  • Specialized training or at least one year of experience working with people with developmental disabilities is a plus
