Job Description
POSITION GOALS
Provide both classroom and lab instruction to adult non-credit students utilizing an approved training curriculum and materials in accordance with the NJ State Board of Cosmetology for CCC's Skin Care/Esthetician program.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Plan, prepare, and deliver approved curriculum on a daily basis.
• Evaluate and assist in the resolution of student concerns.
• Prepare lesson plans.
• Track student grades and attendance.
• Submit student grades and attendance on a monthly basis.
• Lead, inspire, motivate, and advise students to actively participate in all aspects of their educational process.
• Maintain expertise in the subject area.
• Provide regular, accurate and timely feedback to students and the school concerning academics, behavior, attendance, etc.
• Manage all activities related to successful operation of the Cosmetology Clinic, which is staffed by the students and open to the public.
• Plan and organize instructional materials/supply inventories/tools/equipment.
• Ability to work directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds.
• Comply with all safety, fire, and smoking regulations.
• Complete all mandatory compliance and safety training as scheduled by Human Resources.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
• Must posess current NJ State Board of Cosmetology license for Cosmetology or Esthetician.
• A minimum of three years of related field experience.
• A minimum of two years teaching experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of subject specialty and effective teaching methods.
• Demonstrate and promote a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion.

Special Instructions for Applicants
This is a part-time, non-affiliated position. The Skin Care/Esthetician program runs numerous time per year and is offered Monday through Thursday at the Camden City Campus - 200 N. Broadway, Camden, NJ with an option of weekend programming available. Class times will vary.
