The Medical-Surgical Unit at Sentara Obici Hospital is a great place to learn and grow, supported by a longstanding leadership team and strong preceptors dedicated to mentoring new nurses. The Med Surg has 21 bed unit. A general med surg - sees all types of patients - great variety and you will see a good mix of patients. This unit offers a collaborative, supportive environment ideal for both new graduates and experienced nurses seeking to enhance their skillset. Unit coordinators are on staff, ensuring smooth operations and quality patient care. Sentara Obici Hospital is a certified stroke center and a designated Magnet hospital recognized for excellence in patient care, making it a truly rewarding place to develop your nursing career while making a meaningful impact.

The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.
Education
  • Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN or MSN (Preferred)
  • Students in the process of completing an accredited nursing program.

Certification/Licensure

  • Students in the process of obtaining a Registered Nursing License.
  • BLS required within 90 days of hire
