This is a seasonal position at Camp Webb within the Information and Education Division. TheRegistered Nurse will provide professional nursing services to patients in state facilities and may superviseLicensed Practical Nurses/Licensed Practical Nurse Applicants/Registered Nurse Applicants or unlicensedassistive staff in the implementation of nursing policies and procedures.
This is an Interim position. An Interim position means a position established to address a one-time orrecurring need of less than nine (9) months duration and exempt from the classified service under KRS 18A.115.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Maintains licensure for the length of employment to perform medical treatment and administermedications, as prescribed, to Camp Webb campers and staff. Intervenes when emergency care is required.Promotes health maintenance and prevention of illness for campers and staff at Conservation Camp Webb.
  • Maintains essential documentation in medicine administration logs, medical treatment logs, and incidentlogs/reports as medication is administered to campers and/or staff, medical treatment is performed on campersand/or staff, and incidents occur which required a response by a medical professional.
  • Supervises, teaches, delegates, and oversees other personnel in the performance of nursing careactivities such as Camp Director.
