ENFORCEMENT/VETERANS ARMED SECURITY
This is an Armed Security Officer position for locations in
the Hartford Area. Please see details below.
Current Wage: $26.98 hour
REQUIREMENTS:Minimum five years law enforcement, corrections or active military armed experience
Must currently own a full-size Glock or Smith & Wesson in either 9mm or .40 caliber OR Sig Sauer, Beretta, CZ-USA, etc. Must be full size (minimum 4.25" barrel length) and CT compliant magazine where it doesn't hold more than 10 rounds.

Wages
- Guaranteed wage increases each year (2025โ2028) tied to the Connecticut Standard Wage Act.
- Guard I rates rise from ~$19.69โ$21.68 (2025) up to $25.36 (2028).
- Guard II rates rise from ~$23.35โ$24.46 (2025) up to $30.89 (2028).
- Minimum 4 hoursโ pay if called in or if a scheduled shift is cancelled without notice.
?? Workweek & Overtime
- Overtime after 40 hours/week at time-and-a-half.
- At least 1 day off per week.
- No more than 16 hours in a 24-hour period (except extreme circumstances).
- Paid 30-minute lunch where practicable; unpaid if fully relieved.
- Right to sit at reasonable intervals on standing posts.

- Employer contributions to 32BJ Health Fund:
- $6.38/hr (2025), rising to $6.88/hr (2027), capped at +6% in 2028.
