NATURE AND SCOPE OF JOB:ย ย 
The PT Hourly Registrationย Secretary is an essential staff member of the district's Central Registration Initiative.ย  This staff member serves as one of the district Registrars on student registration.
The PT Hourly Registrationย Secretary responds to requests from parents/guardians to enroll their students into our district. He/She is responsible for scheduling registration appointments throughout the school year.ย  He/She also monitors the Student Registration email account for correspondences from parents, school teams, administrations, and other public schools.ย 
The PT Hourly Registrationย Secretary supports the work of school-based Registrars who enroll students daily and assists in scheduling medical appointments conducted by the School Nurses. He/She will monitor the accuracy of enrollments and communicates fixes to school-based Registrars.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:ย 













  • A high school diploma
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in public schools
  • Experience providing support via phone and email to schools and families
  • Experience using student information systems, preferably OnCourse SIS
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel
  • Experience using Google Business Suite (G-mail, Google Drive, Google Sheets)
  • Ability to problem solve and resolve issues constructively
  • Ability to communicate effectively via the phone, email, in writing, and in-person
  • Ability to work in a team and independently

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide enrollment support via phone, email, and in-person to all school stakeholders (staff, parents, etc).
  • Monitor enrollment data quality in OnCourse SIS.
  • Communicate with other school districts in New Jersey about enrollment records.
  • Maintains the Student Registration and Medical Appointments email accounts and calendars.
  • Support the Enrollment Specialist with daily operations of the Central Registration Department.
  • Support staff training conducted in-person and virtually.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by his/her supervisor(s)
