Job description

Job Summary
Purpose Statement
To support the District's Fine Arts programs by providing specialized instruction, choreography, and technical arrangement for marching and winter seasons. These positions vary in scope from lead design roles to supplemental instructional support, directly impacting student performance and program success.
Core Responsibilities & Duties
• Instructional Leadership: Design and lead rehearsals for specialized sections (Percussion, Color Guard, or Visual). Coordinate closely with the Band Director to ensure alignment with the overall production vision.
• Creative Development: Develop unique music arrangements, drill, choreography, and percussion scores tailored to the specific needs of the production.
• Event Support: Assist with competitions, festivals, and performances during the Marching and Winter seasons.
• Direct Assistance: Provide classroom-level support to the Band Director during school hours and after-school rehearsals as permitted by the school calendar.
• Collaboration: Work alongside Caption Heads and other instructional staff to provide a cohesive learning environment for students.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Expertise in a specific caption area (Percussion, Color Guard, Music, or Visual/Marching).
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with directors, parents, and students.
• Ability to translate creative vision into actionable student instruction.
