Key responsibilities include opening and closing park buildings and restrooms on a set schedule, turning field and facility lights on and off, performing routine cleaning and restocking of restrooms, and emptying trash receptacles throughout township parks. The Park Guard monitors parks and fields for cleanliness and safety, removes litter and debris, and promptly reports any damage, vandalism, or maintenance concerns to a supervisor. The position also involves driving between multiple township locations, maintaining a clean and organized work area, caring for tools and equipment, and keeping basic records of daily tasks, supply usage, and incidents. In addition to daily responsibilities, the Park Guard may assist with special events, recreational programs, or other duties as assigned.
