Pay Rate Starting at: Level $12.00/ hr Rates of pay are determined by previous experience and labor contract seniority.

SUMMARY

The mission of all Tops associates is to adhere to the Tops vision of providing a friendly neighborhood store that saves the customer time and money. Clerk is responsible for ensuring file integrity throughout the store. Clerk performs daily/weekly price audits/changes, as well as interacting with vendors and receiver to ensure authorized merchandise is brought into the store and verifying correct prices in system/on shelves. Clerk is also responsible for providing attentive and friendly customer service. 
 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Create signs and tags to maintain accurate pricing throughout the store
  • Maintain accurate pricing files for all departments
  • Minimize shrink by ensuring all price discrepancies are resolved immediately
  • Ensure all equipment is treated/maintained properly
  • Complete all applicable paperwork
  • Follow direction from the scan coordinator 
  • Ability to learn, differentiate, and retain information regarding product lines/locations
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be at least 18 years of age

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions
Possess basic computer skills
Possess strong communication skills
