JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

In this role, the Sales Manager is responsible for managing the 6-10 sales account executives that develop revenue through advertising sales on the web-based radio station.The selected candidates(s) will be a student and have an interest in electronic media advertising sales.

The position requires meeting sales goals and motivating the current account executive team. It also requires organization of the current client list of advertisers and assigning of prospective advertisers to specific account executive members. The Sales Manager provides training to the account executives in prospecting new advertisers, servicing existing advertisers, building relationships with both and effectively marketing businesses by developing comprehensive marketing plans.


Some critical functions of the position include training sales account executives to write contracts, broadcast orders, production orders, executing advertising schedules in a timely manner and effectively collecting payment on all sales made.

The CommRadio Sales Manager positions may be split into two positions so there are Co-Sales Managers. CommRadio Sales Managers are expected to continue to prospect and pursue advertisers.
