  • Position: Transport Driver
  • Location: New Orleans, LA
  • Hours: Flexible Hours | Part Time

The Position:
  • Safely transport children enrolled in the PDHC transportation program.
  • Assist with loading and unloading children from transport vehicles alongside a medical escort.
  • Follow transportation schedules and complete all required documentation.
  • Conduct thorough vehicle checks to ensure no belongings or children are left behind.
  • Collaborate with the transport coordinator to troubleshoot transportation issues.
  • Communicate with caregivers and families regarding transportation details.
  • Respond to emergency situations during transport when requested.
  • Maintain a positive, harmonious environment for the children and staff.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (vocational/technical school or college preferred).
  • Valid Louisiana driver's license and Chauffeur's License.
  • CPR certification.
  • One year of experience in commercial driving or chauffeuring (preferred).
  • Experience in caring for children, particularly those with medical needs (preferred).
  • Must be at least 18 years of age (21 years preferred).
