Job description

Charleston, South Carolina, United States We are seeking a skilled RV Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain recreational vehicles (RVs). This role involves working on mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems to ensure RVs operate safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in RV maintenance, towing experience, and excellent customer service skills.

Additionally, the technician will provide support to customers both in person and through remote or virtual consultations, advising on necessary repairs or maintenance, ensuring RVs operate according to manufacturer specifications, and maintaining detailed service documentation to support both in-shop and virtual interactions. Candidates must have a modern smartphone with an active internet connection to efficiently manage orders and assignments through the company app. Proficiency in navigating mobile applications, digital platforms, and app-based workflows is essential for seamless task execution and communication.

Compensation ranges from $45,760 to $79,040 per year, based on experience and availability. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair issues in RV systems, including mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical. Inspect RVs to identify potential problems or needed maintenance.

Perform general and preventative maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operation. Troubleshoot and repair issues related to engines, brakes, axles, and other RV components. Handle towing tasks, ensuring safe and secure transport of RVs.

Communicate repair needs and recommendations to clients clearly and professionally. Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and services performed. Ensure all tools, equipment, and workspace comply with safety standards.

Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum of 2+ years of experience in RV maintenance and repair. Basic knowledge of RV systems, including plumbing, HVAC, and electrical.

2+ years of towing experience, with a strong understanding of secure towing protocols. Strong customer service and communication skills. Familiarity with local roads and geography is a plus.
