Job description

Resident Transport Driver - Per Diem

WeCare Centers is actively seeking a per diem, Transport Driver, for our communities in Southwestern PA! As a Driver, you are entrusted with the responsibility of caring for our residents, families and co-workers. Shifts available on an as-needed basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cover a region extending from Waynesburg, PA up to the South Hills and into Pittsburgh.

  • Report all pertinent information concerning resident care as detected to appropriate personnel.

  • Drive facility provided vehicle.

  • Transport residents, staff and volunteers to desired destinations.

  • Review daily rehabilitation schedule and be available as indicated.

  • Provide minimal assist of residents transferring to and from wheelchairs.

  • Ensures a safe environment

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Maintain positive, professional interaction with residents and staff.

  • Graduate of an accredited high school or GED.

  • Valid, unencumbered state drivers license.

  • 1-2 years transportation experience preferred.

  • Previous long term care experience.

  • Must have experience transporting and transferring residents with physical impairments using facility equipment.
