Job Responsibilities
The Medical Records Technician will maintain all medical records in the facility for proper order and completeness.
Additional responsibilities:
  • Prepare admissions and re-admission chart records both hard copy and electronic.
  • Complete audits and validation reports communicating all findings to DON.
  • Maintain the records of all discharged residents in proper order.
Job Requirements

  • Education: Graduation from an accredited school with the equivalent of a graduating diploma. College and/or Medical Billing/Coding schooling required or must be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
  • Experience: Prior training desirable but not necessary. Will receive job training and in-service. Experience in Long Term Care field preferred.
  • Certificate/ License: RHIT credential is desirable but not required.
