Job Description:

This is a remote position that requires independent work. Maintaining and satisfying minimum attendance requirements are an essential facet of this position, including working all part-time regular hours as established by the supervisor in addition to any scheduled or emergency overtime. This is a part-time 4-5 month position working 20-29 hours per week. Candidates must live in the state of Texas.
  • Prepares undergraduate applicant transcripts and calculates a core grade point average following the evaluation rubric provided to assess academic preparedness.

  • Evaluates which courses to include or exclude from the recalculated grade point average.

  • Summarizes high school curriculum for subsequent application reader.

  • Learns and executes the evaluation process within the application database (Slate) utilizing the evaluation rubric.

  • Develops and maintains an updated cross-reference system of courses from various high schools.

  • Contributes to the university's successful achievement of enrollment and retention goals.

  • Cooperates and collaborates with other employees in the spirit of teamwork and collegiality and interacts with confidence, patience and integrity to provide professional leadership during emergencies.

  • Complies with all Trinity University policies and guidelines.

  • Performs other duties as required.

EDUCATION

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE

Required:

  • None.

Preferred:

  • Prior experience with high school transcript review as part of the college application process.

  • One year of administrative/clerical experience.

  • Experience with and ability to maintain confidentiality.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Required:

  • Strong interpersonal written and verbal skills.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks under minimal supervision.

  • Self-motivated, a proactive problem solver, and willing to learn new skills as necessary.

  • Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to interact with diverse populations.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with secondary education curricula and a variety of grading scales.

  • Prior experience using Slate software.
