Job description

Remote | Open to candidates in the US, Canada, and Philippines
Contract Opportunities | Future & Upcoming Client Engagements
Align HCM is growing! We're building a contractor bench of experienced Dayforce HCM (HR/Payroll) System Consultants to support current and upcoming client engagements.
As a Dayforce partner, Align HCM works with organizations to transform their HR and payroll processes through effective HCM solutions. This is an opportunity to connect with our growing Dayforce practice and be considered for contract projects that align with your expertise, availability, and experience.
If you're passionate about transforming how organizations manage their people, enjoy guiding clients through complex HCM implementations, and thrive on making payroll processes run seamlessly, we'd love to hear from you.
Please note: This is a contractor bench opportunity and does not guarantee an immediate project assignment. Candidates who meet our requirements may be added to our contractor bench and contacted when a suitable client engagement becomes available.
What You'll Do
  • Support clients through the full Dayforce HCM implementation lifecycle, from discovery workshops and requirements gathering through configuration, testing, training, deployment, and go-live.
  • Configure and optimize Dayforce Payroll using best practices and client-specific requirements.
  • Partner with client stakeholders to understand business processes, identify opportunities for improvement, reduce complexity, and support compliance.
  • Facilitate client workshops, requirements sessions, demonstrations, and working sessions.
  • Support testing, payroll balancing, parallel testing, and cutover activities to help ensure a successful implementation.
  • Develop and maintain requirements documentation, configuration documentation, testing materials, and other project deliverables.
  • Provide post-go-live support and knowledge transfer to help clients successfully transition to their Dayforce environment.
  • Troubleshoot configuration and functional issues and collaborate with project teams to identify appropriate solutions.
  • Share Dayforce best practices and contribute to knowledge sharing across the consulting team.
  • Collaborate effectively with project managers, consultants, technical teams, and client stakeholders across multiple workstreams.

What You'll Bring
  • 2+ years of hands-on Dayforce implementation experience, with strong experience in Dayforce Payroll.
  • 3+ years of HCM systems experience in consulting, HRIS, payroll, or a related field.
  • Strong experience with business process mapping, requirements gathering, system configuration, testing, and implementation.
  • Hands-on experience supporting payroll balancing, testing, and cutover activities.
  • Strong understanding of HR and payroll processes and the ability to translate business requirements into effective Dayforce solutions.
  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills, with the ability to lead workshops, build client trust, and explain complex concepts clearly.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a consulting environment.
  • Experience working with SaaS-based HCM platforms.
  • Dayforce certification is strongly preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote consulting environment while collaborating effectively with distributed project teams.
  • Contractor readiness: Willingness and ability to engage on a contract basis when a suitable client opportunity becomes available.
  • Availability: Clearly defined current or upcoming availability, including expected notice period and potential start date for contract engagements.
  • Ability to commit to agreed project schedules and deliverables once assigned to a client engagement.
  • For US and Canada candidates: Ability to travel for client engagements as needed, up to 10%.
  • For Philippines candidates: Remote position; travel is not required.
  • Candidates must have valid authorization to work in their respective country. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to Have
  • Dayforce certification.
  • Experience with additional Dayforce modules, such as HR, WFM, Recruiting, Benefits, or Onboarding.
  • Experience working in a consulting or professional services environment.
  • Experience working with North American clients.
  • Experience supporting integrations or troubleshooting system-related issues.
  • Experience mentoring or supporting junior consultants.

Why Align HCM?
  • Impact: Help organizations transform and streamline their HR and payroll operations.
  • Growth: Gain exposure to diverse client environments and deepen your Dayforce expertise.
  • Flexibility: Work remotely with the tools and support you need to succeed.
  • Collaboration: Partner with experienced HCM consultants who enjoy solving complex problems together.
  • Variety: Every client and implementation is different, giving you the opportunity to work on meaningful and challenging projects.
  • Contract Opportunities: Stay connected with Align HCM and be considered for future client engagements that align with your skills, experience, and availability.
