Position Details Position Status: Part time Shift: 12 Hour Day Shift (United States of America) Hours per week: 24 Exemption Status: Non-Exempt Overview Behavioral Health is a specialty within the nursing profession that encompasses the care of individuals across the life span who present with physical, emotional, or psychological alterations of health. Psychiatric nursing is the care of acute and chronic illnesses in a variety of settings, helping prepare patients and families for safe discharge and therapeutic continuum of care. Psychiatric nurses adapt the nursing process to include de‐escalation skills, safety, assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation of human responses when caring for patients. Education and Licenses Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Licenses and Certifications: Registered Nurse (KSBN); multistate license allowing practice in Kansas. Basic Life Support (BLS) may be required within 90 days; additional RQI's may be required within 90 days.
