Job description

Alumni Donor Stewardship Coordinator
Work Location:
Remote - USA
Schedule:
Part time
To advance the purpose of InterVarsity, this position will support the execution of donor stewardship initiatives in close partnership with the Director. This role ensures high-quality donor stewardship implementation across audience segmented projects within Development (ex. Alumni, Strategic Donor Experience, etc.), including but not limited to donor events, communications, and engagement touchpoints.
This position is detail-oriented, proactive, and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining clear communication and follow-through. This role translates direction into well-executed plans, clear systems, and thoughtful donor-facing materials.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Personal:
  • Be a maturing disciple of Jesus Christ: growing in love for God, God's Word, God's people of every ethnicity and culture, and God's purposes in the world
  • Maintain spiritual disciplines for personal and ministry growth
  • Modeling wisdom and maturity in the balance of family, church, and ministry

Support Donor Experience initiatives:
  • Help ensure donor-facing communication and experience reflect organizational excellence, warmth, and clarity
  • Support project timelines, vendor coordinator, and cross-team communication
  • Serve at on-site events, offering a gracious and attentive presence that reflects the organization's values as needed

Coordinate Stewardship Systems & Communications:
  • Coordinate and/or manage stewardship communication, managing tracking systems that support visibility and follow-through
  • Assist in reinforcing stewardship rhythms with constituents in partnership with supervisor and leadership
  • Draft and, when appropriate, handwrite donor-facing materials - this could include thank you cards, invitations, letters, notes, and other communication materials
  • Gather and implement feedback as needed
  • Partner and collaborate with Communications, Field Ministry, and other teams as needed to ensure consistency in messaging, brand, priorities, and culture across donor materials

Cross Functional Coordinator:
  • Serve as point of contact for specified audience regarding stewardship-related communication across Development and other organizational departments
  • Prepare briefing materials and internal summaries as needed
  • Additional cross function tasks as needed

Operational Support & Execution:
  • Maintain project plans, dashboards, databases, and timelines
  • Maintain accurate records and list management using organizational platforms like Salesforce, RegFox, etc.
  • Identify and communicate workflow improvements to enhance efficiency
  • Support timely execution of projects while upholding standards of excellence
  • Adhere to InterVarsity's program standard operating systems, polices, and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Annually affirm InterVarsity's Statement of Faith
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience in Development, Communications, Project Management, or Donor Relations preferred
  • Demonstrated ability and commitment to work in a diverse team environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience of current Microsoft software applications
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail
  • High relational intelligence and discretion
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Ability to develop a ministry support team who will pray, support, and give financially

Pay Range: $36,132.00 - $48,168.00 per year
