Apello is a Live Answering Service that has been serving businesses for over 80 years. Be a part of our small company providing a unique service for small to medium size businesses. As a Live Answering Service, we answer incoming calls for 500+ businesses 24/7 as remote receptionists and dispatchers. Our live answering service helps our business customers to provide better, 24/7 service for their customers.  

The businesses we serve cover many industries including: 

  • Health Care, 
  • Heating and Air Conditioning companies,
  • Mechanical and Technical Service companies,
  • Lawyers, 
  • Property Management,
  • Government Agencies,
  • and many others.

All of our clients are different so all of our calls are different. As calls come in, we use sophisticated software to gather information specified by each business we answer for and dispatch the calls according to their instructions. The is absolutely NO SELLING!

TELEPHONE OPERATOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Answer calls and take messages on a computer
  • Use Apello's software to determine what information to collect from callers.
  • Use Apello's software to determine when and how to relay messages to our clients (phone, text, email etc.)
  • Give out information to callers as directed
  • Interact with callers in a courteous, professional and helpful manner

Work Schedule:

Part Time

Swing / Graveyard

Specific Hours Range Required: 

SUNDAY - WEDNESDAY: 6pm - 2:30am, - and - Thursday: 11pm - 7am - Mountain Time

Weekend Day Required: SUNDAY

SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS:

Apello provides service 24/7, 365 days per year. Telephone Operators are required to work:

Weekends:

One weekend day EVERY week - either Saturday or Sunday. See specific requirements above. This is every week. It is NOT rotating.

Holidays:

Apello provides service on ALL major holidays. Telephone Operators are required to work on some holidays.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must speak fluent Spanish and English
  • Type 35+ WPM
  • Good grammar and spelling
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Patience
  • Detail Oriented
  • Ability to make good decisions in the absence of specific instructions

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous work experience preferred
  • Experience assisting customers over the phone is preferred but not required
  • High School diploma preferred, but Apello does employee high performing High School students

REMOTE WORK REQUIREMENTS:

  • You must be able to train and work in either our Salt Lake City or Saint George UTAH offices for 90 days prior to working remotely. Food and lodging will not be provided.
  • You must have a quiet, private work environment with a door that can be closed. Other adults, children, or pets may not be present in the room with you while you are working.
  • You must provide your own desktop or laptop computer with approved antivirus software including a subscription for updates
  • You must provide your own high-speed internet connection.
  • You must have a phone (can be a cell phone) that you can use for calls when needed
  • You must have a shredder
