What does a part time recruiter do?

A part-time recruiter is responsible for sourcing, screening, and recommending candidates for job positions, but works fewer hours than a full-time recruiter. Part-time recruiters often juggle multiple tasks, such as sourcing candidates, conducting initial screenings, and coordinating interviews, all within limited hours. To manage this workload efficiently, they frequently rely on applicant tracking systems (ATS) and clear communication with hiring managers to prioritize urgent roles. Setting daily or weekly goals and batching similar tasks can also help maximize productivity. Collaboration with full-time team members ensures alignment and smooth hand-offs, making teamwork and organization essential for success in this role.
