The City of Sterling is looking for an outgoing, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Part-Time Recreation Clerk/Cashier. If you enjoy helping people, staying organized, and working in a team-focused environment, this could be the perfect opportunity.

This is more than just a desk job—it’s a chance to support community programs, meet new people, and contribute to a positive, welcoming environment at the Sterling Recreation Center.

What You’ll Do

As a Recreation Clerk/Cashier, you’ll be the first point of contact for guests at the Rec Center—either by phone or in person. You’ll help answer questions, process registrations and payments, and support a variety of recreation programs behind the scenes.

You’ll also:

  • Greet and assist visitors in a friendly and professional manner

  • Answer phones and provide accurate information about programs and events

  • Perform data entry, filing, and clerical support to keep things running smoothly

  • Support recreation staff with scheduling, special projects, and event prep

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk area

  • Handle cash, process payments, and reconcile daily totals
