The Part-Time Insurance Bad Faith/Personal Injury Paralegal/Legal/Office Assistant supports a busy legal environment by managing active cases, assisting trial attorneys, and providing administrative and legal support. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting while maintaining discretion and confidentiality. The assistant will interact frequently with clients and use various software tools, including AI, to enhance case management and legal drafting tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Manage case files and assist with legal drafting, including law and motion preparation
  • Review and acquire client declarations, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Interact with clients to gather additional information and provide clarifications
  • Provide administrative support including billing and financial assistance
  • Handle email correspondence, phone calls, social media, and marketing support
  • Utilize software tools such as Clio, Westlaw, QuickBooks, Google Suite, Microsoft Office products, and AI applications
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion with sensitive information
  • Balance multiple tasks and meet deadlines independently and within a team
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication in English and preferably Spanish

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of recent legal support experience
  • Excellent writing, verbal communication, and customer service skills
  • Strong time management with ability to prioritize and multitask
