Job description

As a Front Office Coordinator at our Ankeny office within our Physical and Occupational Hand Therapy department, you will be responsible for scheduling PT/OT appointments, assisting patients with the check in process and assist with the prior authorization process, as needed. You will play a key role in creating a welcoming environment and maintaining efficient communication with patients and providers. You will be someone who is passionate about providing an outstanding experience for our patients. To thrive in this role, prior experience in a medical front office position and a passion for patient well-being. This is a part-time (20hrs/week) opportunity working Monday - Thursday between hours of 1pm to 6pm.

Here is what you can expect:

  • Providing and obtaining necessary paperwork from patients for their Physical or Occupational Therapy appointment.
  • Communicating with insurance companies and providers to obtain necessary authorization for appointments, as needed.
  • Communicating with patients who show gratitude for our guidance and support as they return to their prior level of function, event during challenging moments. 
  • Primarily sitting at a desk with frequent position changes pending office needs.
