Job description:

Join a close-knit, community-focused urgent care team where your skills make a real difference every day. We're looking for a certified, bilingual Medical Assistant to help us deliver high-quality, compassionate care to the Corona community.
Responsibilities:
  • Register patients and accurately collect medical and insurance information
  • Room patients, escort them to exam rooms, and prepare them for examination
  • Record and document vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration, height, and weight)
  • Take thorough patient histories and enter documentation into the EMR system
  • Assist providers during exams and clinical procedures
  • Perform phlebotomy and blood draws
  • Conduct point-of-care testing including urinalysis, rapid strep, and pregnancy tests
  • Order lab tests and follow up on results in a timely manner
  • Bridge communication between providers and patients as a Spanish interpreter
  • Maintain sterilization and readiness of all medical equipment
  • Provide clear patient education and discharge instructions
  • Uphold HIPAA compliance and protect patient confidentiality at all times
Required Qualifications
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA)
  • Phlebotomy Certificate
  • EKG Certificate
  • BLS Certification
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience
  • Able to commute to or relocate to Corona, NY 11368 before start date
Preferred Qualifications
  • Lives in or near Corona, NY 11368
  • 2+ years of healthcare or urgent care experience
  • Bengali language skills (a plus)
Compensation & Schedule
  • Pay: $19.00 – $21.00/hour (based on experience)
  • Hours: 15 – 40 hours per week
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, with weekend availability as needed
