Position Summary:
The Part-Time Insider (Pizza Maker) is responsible for taking guest orders accurately, preparing pizzas and other menu items to standard, and ensuring every order meets Marco’s commitment to quality. This role combines excellent guest service with hands-on food preparation, while also helping maintain a clean, safe, and team-oriented work environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Accurately take orders and answer guest questions with courtesy
  • Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately
  • Utilize POS systems to process orders and manage sales
  • Assist guests with menu selections, make recommendations, and upsell items to enhance their experience
  • Prepare fresh pizza dough and toppings, including slicing, chopping, and portioning ingredients
  • Follow recipes and food preparation standards, including accommodating special requests
  • Ensure compliance with food handling and safety regulations while preparing and serving food
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service area, including dining spaces, prep stations, and kitchen equipment
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours
  • Provide prompt and friendly assistance to guests by answering questions and resolving concerns
  • Monitors the ovens and baking process.
  • Removes food products from the oven, cuts and packages food items correctly and quickly.
  • Ensures final product quality and accuracy.
