Job description

Luxury Portrait Sales

Butler Portraits

Part-Time (Wed-Sat) | Base + Uncapped Commission

Part Time Hours for Full Time Pay at an Established Luxury Studio

Butler Portraits has spent over 50 years creating custom portrait artwork for families who value quality, tradition, and lasting memories.

We are seeking a confident, polished sales professional to lead clients through selecting heirloom wall art and portrait collections during private, in-studio ordering appointments.

This is a consultative role working with warm, pre-qualified families, pets, high school seniors, bridal and children in a structured, professional environment.

What You'll Do
  • Conduct private sales consultations
  • Build trust quickly with families
  • Ask thoughtful questions to understand what matters most to them
  • Present premium artwork options with confidence
  • Guide clients through pricing decisions comfortably
  • Close professionally while maintaining a high-end client experience

This is relationship-based selling -- not high-pressure retail.

The Right Fit

You will thrive here if you:

  • Have 5+ years of proven luxury sales success
  • Are comfortable selling premium products
  • Communicate with confidence and professionalism
  • Handle objections calmly
  • Are competitive and motivated by performance
  • Are available Wednesday-Saturday
  • Have experience in luxury retail, jewelry, fine art, interior design, or commissioned sales (preferred)

If you avoid money conversations or prefer hourly-only roles, this will not be a fit.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Base pay + uncapped commission
  • Monthly performance bonuses
  • Paid professional sales training
  • 401(k)
  • PTO
  • Complimentary portrait benefits

Part-time hours with strong income potential for high performers.

Why This Role Stands Out
  • Established, respected studio with a strong reputation
  • Structured and proven sales process
  • Professional, supportive environment
  • Meaningful work celebrating families
  • Income tied directly to performance

Submit your resume and include a brief note outlining your strongest sales achievement (include measurable results).
