Job description

Position Summary:

Operates vehicles to transport patients, visitors, and staff between Robert Packer Hospital/The Guthrie Clinic and designated areas. Performs duties of hospital courier and other duties as assigned.

Education, License & Cert:

High school education or GED preferred. Capable of reading written instructions and comprehending verbal instructions.

Experience:

Must possess a valid CDL license and must have passenger endorsement.

Essential Functions:

1. Operate hospital vehicles to transport passengers and materials

a. Pick up and delivers passengers and materials in a timely manner

b. Assist patients, staff, and visitors in entering and exiting vehicle if necessary

c. Give directions upon request

d. Comply with all state and local traffic regulations

2. Inspect vehicle daily

a. Maintain vehicle in safe operating condition

b. Report all hazards to supervisor immediately

c. Arrange for necessary repairs when supervisor unavailable

d. Fuel vehicle as necessary

Other Duties:

Perform duties of hospital courier as required
