Overview

Please note that this position is contingent upon the successful award of a contract currently under bid.

Peregrine is a pioneer within the cybersecurity industrial control systems and the Internet of Things, supporting many federal and commercial customers. Peregrine's experienced staff knows the cybersecurity and operational technology environment and provides these capabilities for our customers daily. 

Summary:

This role provides support in Juneau and Anchorage for help desk support service functions at the Alaska Region. This work will include tasks related to Network, Operating Systems, Desktop Applications, Web Based Applications, Storage Area Networks, Information Technology Security and Service Desk support capabilities.

This position requires one half-day per week and must work onsite at the Alaska Regional Office in Anchorage.


Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Respond to task requests coordinated by the Alaska Region.
  • Service calls may be initiated by phone calls, help desk tickets, or initiated with an email from the technical contact.
  • Tickets will indicate the nature of the help desk or systems administration task.
  • Respond to the ticket or request the Contractor shall promptly coordinate with Alaska Region IT division and customer to provide the service needed.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
  • A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
  • Familiarity with operating systems, software installation, patch management, and system backups.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of experience in system administration, IT support, or related technical role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
