Job description

Indiana University Health Medical Group at Arnett Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Part time Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant at IU Health Arnett Hospital at located in Lafayette, IN. Join a collegial team of 1 Nurse Practitioner and 1 Registered Nurse.
Employment opportunity details:
  • Part-time position, 24-hour work week.
  • Day shift, days and hours are flexible based on candidate and team needs, no weekends or holidays
  • No Call & 100% inpatient
  • Collaborative, positive and patient focused culture
  • Potential for outpatient in future
  • Personalized & tailored orientation process and training to the individual needs of the new hire with 1:1 provider support with a minimum of 10-week orientation period.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Consulting services to chronic and acutely ill patients needing symptom management or end of life support prior to discharge from ICU, PCU, or med/surg levels of care.
  • Palliative care, oncology, hospital, end of life and/or chronic illness management.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree required.
  • Must be an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner ACNP or Adult Geriatric Nurse Practitioner AGNP or Family Nurse Practitioner FNP or Physician Assistant PA
  • Will consider experienced or a new graduate.
  • For new Grads - need to have strong previous nursing experience in oncology, pain management, or progressive care-type environments.
  • Certified/Eligible and Indiana License or eligible
