Qualifications

Join Our Community: Palliative Care Physician in Newton, MA

Mass General Brigham is seeking a part-time Board Certified or Board Eligible Hospice and Palliative Medicine Physician to join the well-established Palliative Care team at Newton-Wellesley Hospital, a nationally recognized community teaching hospital affiliated with Mass General Brigham.

This is an excellent opportunity to provide compassionate, interdisciplinary care while working alongside experienced physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, social workers, chaplains, and care coordinators dedicated to improving quality of life for patients and families facing serious illness.

About the Opportunity:

  • Provide inpatient palliative care consultation services to patients with serious and complex illnesses, focusing on symptom management, goals-of-care discussions, and advance care planning.
  • Collaborate closely with hospitalists, specialists, nurses, social workers, chaplains, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, education, and the continued growth of palliative care services within the hospital.
  • Enjoy a collaborative practice environment and flexible schedule that supports professional fulfillment and work-life balance. There is no traditional call schedule.

Thesalary range for this position is $142,000 to $178,000 annually.Actual compensation will bedeterminedduring the selection process and is based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, education, and internal equity.
