Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse


Join our team! Woodland Surgery Center is seeking a 0.6 to 0.8 FTE Pre-Operative/PACU Registered Nurse for a busy, fast-paced Orthopedic Outpatient Ambulatory Surgery Center. The RN will manage the overall nursing care of the surgical patient.

This part-time position โ€“ 0.6 FTE (24 hours/week) to 0.8 FTE (32 hours/week) โ€“ would be Monday to Friday (3 or 4 days per week, 8โ€‘10 hour days). Hours are beneficial for work-life balance as there are no weekend, holiday, or call hours. Benefits offered based on scheduled hours.

Registered nursing experience is required. Prep/Recovery experience for two years or more is preferred.

REQUIRED EDUCATION and LICENSING
  • Associate or Bachelor of Nursing Degree
  • Maintains licensure and continuing education as recommended by appropriate professional boards.
  • License by the appropriate board by the State of Wisconsin.
  • Previous work experience in a surgical setting.
  • BLS, ACLS and PALS required
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (include but not limited to):
  • Assess and monitor patients preoperatively and postoperatively.
  • Collaborate with surgical team on patient status.
  • Maintain complete and accurate patient records.
  • Educate and instruct patients on home care needs following outpatient surgery.
  • Working with a team helping to maintain a well-supplied, safe, and clean working environment.
