Job description

Callie's Hot Little Biscuit is looking to hire a full time Shipping + Packing team member for our production facility in the North Charleston area. WHY WE NEED YOU...
This role works alongside other Callies Hot Little Biscuit Packing Team members, Baking Team, Sealing Team, and Management Team to work through the current order volume and Operations by being a part of our growing Shipping and Logistics team. This position will be responsible for auditing and packing eCommerce orders for fulfillment in addition to readying our biscuits for distribution channels. This position will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of work that leaves Callies facility. This position is ideal for a candidate interested in starting or continuing a career in eCommerce operations or logistics and working for a fast paced and growing business.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Communicate with shipping manager to maintain inventory levels, orders, and ship dates
  • Receive and fulfill direct ship orders daily
  • Ensure all orders are packaged according to company standards and shipped in a timely manner
  • Assist with packing pallets for distribution
  • Identify and dispose of defective items before they are shipped to customers including logging on the sample log.
  • Properly use packaging materials per company standards and requirements.
  • Keep complete records of all materials that go through the warehouse
  • Pulls and stacks products based on daily orders.
  • Seal and case box dry good products
  • Seal and pack pallet product according to the production schedule
  • Meets specifics of customer orders in a timely manner.
  • Keeps products separated, organized, and in good rotation.
  • Monitors product quality frequently, reporting problems to mitigate safety issues.
  • Operates various pieces of equipment (i.e. pallet jack, dolly, pallet wrapper, tape machines).
  • Reports any mechanical problems.
  • Utilizes continuous-improvement mindset and assists in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
  • Follows Good Manufacturing Practices and required work-safe practices.
  • Maintains a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
