Job description

Part Time: 25-35 hrs/wk | Wage: $15 per hour | Shift Times: 7am-2pm - Occasionally 4pm-9pm, but may vary seasonally

Summary:
Bavarian Inn Restaurant needs a part time groundskeeper to help maintain our beautiful Frankenmuth landscape. Daily duties will vary seasonally, but some of the tasks performed would include:
  • Leaf/snow removal
  • Clearing and salting of walkways
  • Emptying of trash barrels throughout the grounds
  • Planting and maintaining seasonal flowers
  • Weeding and edging
  • Minor painting
  • Putting up seasonal decor like Christmas Lights
  • Updating marquee sign daily
  • General utility maintenance indoor tasks (Lightbulbs, painting, etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Enjoy being outside during all seasons, as this position will allow you to be outside most of the day
  • Due to the nature of our business, must be available a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Must have friendly demeanor to interact with our guests throughout the day
  • Must be able to stand/walk for 8+ hours
  • Must be able to lift, push, or pull weights up to 50 lbs
  • Must be self-motivated and able to withstand both cold and hot outdoor temperatures
  • Must have valid driver's license to operate company vehicles
  • Must be comfortable working on ladders
