A well-designed and secure network is critical to move data and enable DoD to achieve its mission, but how can an organization make sure its network will fit its current and evolving needs? Crafting the right network, with the right equipment and software, requires a combination of technical skill and careful planning. That's why we need you, a network engineer who knows how to craft the exact network, the DoD needs.
As a Cloud Engineer on our team, you'll work with the DoD to develop a reliable network to support critical missions. You'll collaborate with SMEs, customers, and users to learn the strategic goals and operational needs that shape the network requirements. You'll then share your expertise during the planning of the acquisition, installation, configuration, and maintenance of the network components. From resolving interoperability issues across platforms to supporting the acquisition of hardware, you'll put your hardware and software talents to good use. This is your chance to share your experience with backbone networks, cloud technologies, and core networking while broadening your network engineering work. You Have:
  • 3+ years of experience deploying platforms across cloud, on-premises and disconnected environments using Kubernetes or OpenShift
  • 1+ years of experience with defensive cyber operations, cybersecurity engineering or security platform architecture
  • 1+ years of experience with stream processing or data brokering platforms such as Cribl, Kafka, Logstash or Fluentd
  • Experience with DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust principles and DoD cybersecurity frameworks
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with Python or scripting languages for security automation
  • Experience in operating IL5, IL6 or IL7 environments
  • Security+, CISSP, CASP+ or CCSP Certifications

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
