Job description

Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Architect / Engineer with deep migration and modernization experience. The ideal candidate will lead full-cycle migrations from on-premise Oracle and non-Oracle environments to OCI, ensuring performance, scalability, and cost optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead end-to-end Oracle Cloud migration projects - discovery, planning, design, build, validation, and cutover.
  • Architect and deploy Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments (compute, storage, networking, database, and IAM).
  • Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, or OCI Resource Manager.
  • Conduct environment assessments, design migration roadmaps, and perform data / app migrations.
  • Integrate OCI with on-prem, AWS, Azure, and SaaS ecosystems.
  • Implement disaster recovery, high availability, and performance tuning strategies.
  • Apply DevOps and automation best practices for continuous deployment and testing.
  • Define cloud governance frameworks, tagging standards, cost monitoring, and security policies.

Required Skills:
  • 8+ years of Oracle technology experience including Oracle Database, Exadata, RAC, and EBS.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) design and implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of OCI architecture, networking, IAM, security, load balancing, and compute/storage services.
  • Experience with migration assessment, lift-and-shift, re-platforming, and re-architecting workloads.
  • Scripting and automation using Python, Shell, Terraform, or Ansible.
  • Familiarity with DevOps, Git, Jenkins, Kubernetes, or containerized workloads (Docker).
  • Excellent problem-solving, client communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Certifications:
  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect Professional / Associate
  • Oracle Cloud Migration Specialist
  • AWS / Azure Architect certification (plus)
