Job description

Description

Become a part of the team behind the team.

As employees of the Portland Trail Blazers at the Rose Quarter, we do more than basketball. We are blazing trails toward winning championships on and off the court.

We are pioneers and innovators. We look for people who push boundaries, who dream, who are committed to inclusivity – who want to contribute to Rip City!

As our Partnership Marketing Assistant – Part-Time, you will be at the center of our gameday experiences and help bring our Commercial Partnerships to life. You will play a critical role in executing special events and contributing to unforgettable moments at Trail Blazers basketball games. This is a part-time, event-based role that will support on-site for all Trail Blazers home games, and will occasionally work in the office to prep for events. It is expected to start in September 2026 and wrap up by May 15, 2027.

DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Act as point of contact for commercial partners regarding game day activations.
  • Implement game day partners and suite-related activations, such as in-arena promotions, hospitality events, prize distribution, vehicle displays, supporting fan engagement opportunities and set-up/tear-down of partner displays.
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of partner-related retail, community, and digital promotions and special events.
  • Support Season Planning efforts, including promotional item ordering, season gifting, activation scheduling and storage maintenance
  • Compile and organize post-activation data to support partnership recaps and performance insights.
  • Interact and collaborate with partners and internal teams through game night activations, meetings, projects, and events.
  • Provide general support to the Commercial Partnership department and organization as needed.

WE’D LIKE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU:

  • Demonstrate the ability to work effectively as a team with people from a diverse set of backgrounds and abilities.
  • Can prioritize multiple projects while staying organized with attention to detail.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and exercise discretion when working with critical or proprietary information.
  • Are available to work a flexible schedule, which could include office hours, Trail Blazers home games, and evening/weekend responsibilities.

Offers of employment are conditional upon the successful results of an individual background check. We consider qualified applicants with criminal histories and review results on an individual basis.

The Portland Trail Blazers at the Rose Quarter embraces diversity and inclusion. We celebrate individual expression and uniqueness on our campus. We do not tolerate harassment or discrimination. We are committed to hiring individuals that reflect the community we serve without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, veteran status, disability, genetic information, or other legally protected characteristics. We are an equal opportunity employer.

We will ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodation to participate in the job application or interview process, to perform essential job functions, and to receive other benefits and privileges of employment. Please contact us to request accommodation.

PERKS:

We invest in our employees inside and outside of work. The perks we offer for our part-time teammates include:

  • Salary: $20 per hour
  • Retirement Plan
  • Flexible Work-schedule
  • Wellness Perk – Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Free Parking in Aegean Lot + Discounted Mass Transit Passes (50% off)
