Job description

The Orchards at Redford is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time Occupational Therapy Assistant to join their in-house therapy team!

Pay starts at $28.00 per hour and increases based on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients' physical abilities and limitations through comprehensive evaluations.

  • Implement individualized treatment plans by supervising OT based on patient needs and goals, incorporating evidence-based practices.

  • Implement therapeutic exercises and modalities to improve mobility, strength, and overall function.

  • Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, home exercises, and self-management strategies.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and effective discharge planning.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment interventions, and outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Stay updated on advancements in occupational therapy practices.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Occupational Therapy Assisting

  • Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Occupational Therapy Assistant.

  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to physical therapy practices.
