Salary: $20.00/hour


Peters Township is seeking to fill the part-time position of Front Desk Attendant. This role provides excellent service to our residents and helps triage their inquiries in person, over email, and through phone calls. We are seeking a reliable, organized, and service focused Front Desk Attendant to serve as first point of contact for our residents and visitors to the Municipal Building. This position will have a set schedule: Monday - Friday; 11:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. In addition to the Key Responsibilities listed below, the ideal candidate will be friendly, flexible, and open to additional responsibilities as they arise.


Key Responsibilities:

Greets visitors and assists with their needs.

Answers phone calls and e-mails from patrons/residents requesting information or Township service in a timely and professional manner.

Coordinates information on programming, projects, or regulations between Township staff and patrons/residents.

Keep accurate program statistics for reporting usage.

Assist with program marketing and social media outreach.

Collects all fees for such items as permit fees, program fees, lien letters, ordinances, maps, calendars, etc., balances receipt and submits to the Department Head for deposit.


Provide backup support for other secretarial and administrative assistant positions to meet workload requirement or during leaves.

Performs other essential duties as assigned or required.


Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or general education degree.

At least one (1) year of experience in a general office setting, using computers and office automation software.
