What is a part time model?

Part time models are individuals who work in the modeling industry on a flexible, non-full-time basis. They participate in photoshoots, runway shows, promotional events, or commercial campaigns as their schedule allows, often balancing modeling with other jobs or studies. Part time models can work in various sectors such as fashion, commercial, or promotional modeling. This role is ideal for those who want to gain experience in modeling without committing to it as a full-time career. Agencies and clients often hire part time models for specific projects based on their availability and look.

What does a part time model do?

As a part-time model, your job is to participate in photo shoots and other types of modeling sessions as requested by your employer. While this may include walking down a runway or taking part in a modeling job for a print magazine, part-time models also work in art classes, motion capture studios, and similar areas that need extra bodies on hand. Many part-time models also manage a portfolio of work. Despite the part-time nature of this job, you may be asked to adjust your schedule on short notice to meet the needs of clients. Many part-time models specialize in specific areas, such as fitness modeling or body part modeling.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a part time model, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Part Time Model, you generally need a professional portfolio, strong posing ability, and an understanding of the modeling industry’s requirements. Familiarity with booking platforms, digital submission tools, and sometimes basic photo editing software is helpful. Reliability, adaptability, and excellent communication skills help models build strong client relationships and succeed in diverse assignments. These skills and qualities ensure models can represent brands effectively, maintain professionalism, and secure repeat work in a competitive field.

What are some common challenges faced by part time models, and how can they be addressed?

Part-time models often face challenges such as inconsistent work schedules, last-minute bookings, and balancing modeling with other commitments like school or another job. It’s important to maintain flexibility and good communication with agencies or clients to manage expectations. Staying organized, keeping an updated portfolio, and networking within the industry can help secure more consistent opportunities. Additionally, investing time in self-care and practicing poses can improve confidence and performance at castings and shoots.

What is the difference between Part Time Model vs Full Time Model?

AspectPart Time ModelFull Time Model

Part Time Models work fewer hours and often have flexible schedules, making it ideal for those balancing other commitments. Full Time Models commit to a regular schedule, often with more experience and a broader portfolio. Both roles operate in similar environments and industries, but differ mainly in hours and commitment level.

How much does a part time model get paid?

Part time models typically earn between $15 and $50 per hour, depending on factors such as experience, location, and the type of modeling work. Rates can vary widely for different modeling niches like fashion, commercial, or promotional work, and some models may also receive paid assignments or commissions.

Job description

At Curana Health, we're on a mission to radically improve the health, happiness, and dignity of older adults—and we're looking for passionate people to help us do it.

As a national leader in value-based care, we offer senior living communities and skilled nursing facilities a wide range of solutions (including on-site primary care services, Accountable Care Organizations, and Medicare Advantage Special Needs Plans) proven to enhance health outcomes, streamline operations, and create new financial opportunities.

Founded in 2021, we've grown quickly—now serving 200,000+ seniors in 1,500+ communities across 32 states. Our team includes more than 1,000 clinicians alongside care coordinators, analysts, operators, and professionals from all backgrounds, all working together to deliver high-quality, proactive solutions for senior living operators and those they care for.

Ranked #147 on the Inc. 5000 list of America's fastest-growing private companies, we're just getting started. If you're looking to make a meaningful impact on the senior healthcare landscape, you're in the right place—and we look forward to working with you.

For more information about our company, visit CuranaHealth.com.

If you've spent a few years in traditional practice, you know the frustration: rigid schedules, administrative overload, and a model that often feels more like checkbox medicine than real patient care.

Curana is built differently.

Our physicians consistently say this is the best job they've ever had. That's not a talking point; it's what we hear directly from doctors who made the switch. Here, you get to practice medicine on your terms: setting your own schedule, managing your own patient flow, and spending your energy on the work that actually matters.

We're looking for physicians who are ready for a better model, one that restores the autonomy, ownership, and fulfillment that drew you to medicine in the first place.

We're seeking a mission-driven Physician to join Curana Health and deliver high-quality, person-centered care across skilled nursing facilities and senior living communities. You'll be a trusted clinical leader for your patients, a mentor to APPs, and an advocate for the residents in your care, while enjoying a level of flexibility and independence that's genuinely rare in medicine today.

Full-Time or Part-Time Schedules Available

  • Provide compassionate, evidence-based care by completing history and physicals on new patients and conducting routine rounding (minimum once per week).

  • Partner with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to manage regulatory and complex patient visits, ensuring compliance and clinical excellence.

  • Oversee APP performance, serving as a mentor and resource to elevate care delivery across your team.

  • Close quality gaps when prompted, driving measurable improvements in patient outcomes.

  • Serve as a trusted advocate for patients—championing what matters most to them.

  • Represent Curana Health’s mission and values as a clinical leader and ambassador in the communities you serve.

What Makes Curana Different

Flexibility that actually works. Curana is built to give physicians more control over how they structure their time. Our model is designed to reduce the operational friction that makes traditional practice feel rigid, so you can focus on patients without sacrificing your personal life. Physicians consistently tell us this flexibility is one of the biggest reasons they stay.

True clinical autonomy. You have meaningful control over how you round, how you manage patient flow, and how you structure your day. Less protocol-driven overhead, more room for real clinical judgment. It's a model built around how good physicians actually work.

Meaningful, complex work. Geriatric care is some of the most intellectually demanding and personally rewarding work in medicine. You're not treating a single condition, you're caring for the whole person, often navigating complexity that requires real clinical judgment. Physicians who are drawn to this specialty find it deeply fulfilling.

Infrastructure that supports you. Curana provides structured onboarding, ongoing training, and support teams that are actually responsive. You'll get help with charting, adapting to value-based care models, and everything else that typically slows physicians down. You have the autonomy of private practice without the isolation.

Data-driven tools built for your patients. AI-powered insights, smart communication platforms, and modern EMR integrations help you understand and manage your patient population more effectively, so you can focus on care, not catching up.

What We Offer

  • Unlimited earning potential with competitive compensation models.

  • Medical Directorship opportunities with leadership and influence.

  • Autonomy of practice backed by strong clinical and administrative support.

  • Cutting-edge care model that empowers you to transform senior healthcare.

  • Data-driven tools & AI solutions to better understand and manage patient needs.

  • Streamlined communication with smart texting and modern tech platforms.

  • Professional development including CME support, APP mentorship, and leadership training.

  • Quality incentives with bonuses tied to patient outcomes and care excellence.

  • Work-life balance supported by generous paid time off.

Benefits
  • Medical, Dental, Vision insurance

  • 401(k) with company match

  • Company-paid short- and long-term disability

  • Comprehensive malpractice coverage

  • UpToDate subscription for clinical decision support

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or Hospital Medicine
  • Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of employment
  • Active DEA License
  • Proficiency with EMR systems
  • Compassionate, motivated, and a strong collaborator

This role requires travel to and from one or more assigned facilities. Depending on the amount of travel required, Curana may in future determine that a valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and an acceptable driving record are required. If so, you will be provided with thirty (30) days notice of this requirement. From that time forward, please be advised that Periodic motor vehicle (MVR) checks may be conducted as a condition of, and/or for, continued employment.
